Safe Internet & School Outreach Program

About Project

HDF in collaboration with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi and Telenor Pakistan started a project on the SAFE Internet & school outreach Program which was being implemented in public and private schools. Where students from 6th class onward were aware of safe usage of the internet. The project was in four phases.

Aim of the Project

To empower girls and boys to use Information Communication Technology (ICT) and the Internet responsibly in a safe manner. It should also promote responsible and safe online behaviour of children through building their capacity in self-protection online through play-based interactive awareness sessions and modules.

Activities of the Training Session

Following are the activities of the project:

  • Meeting with Education Department
  • Training of Trainers
  • School visit and training sessions with children
  • Baseline questioner from children
  • Presentation to children
  • End line questioner from children
  • Data analysis

Outcomes of the Training Session
55,000 children and 1300 teachers male and female were aware of the usage of the internet and in safe manners.
